Synopsis:
The burning of biomass, such as wood releases harmful and toxic gases, such as carbon monooxide (CO) and volatile organic compounds, which can cause both environmental impacts and major health consequences for the users. For indoors biomass cooking, indoor air polution will be produced and inhaling large amounts of these harmful gases may often be the norm, due to the poor ventilation.
As a team, you will need to design and build a CO/NOx/other harmful gases monitoring equipped with a ventilation system. Example when the CO concentration is high, a fan will start blowing the CO out from the indoor environment. For this context, you will build a smaller scale system.
