"We do not learn from experience,
we learn from REFLECTING on experience"
-John Dewey-
Below is a framework to guide you in writing a good reflection:
Step 1: Summarize the tasks/experiment/practical/experience
- What happened in general?
- What was being examined in that tasks/experiment/practical?
Step 2: Interpret
- Why was the tasks/experiment/practical important?
- What made the tasks/experience interesting?
- How was the tasks/experiment useful for the project in CP5070?
Step 3: Reflect forward
- Record what you used to think about the topic/concept, using the prompts "I used to think ...." Now think about how your ideas about the topic have changed as a result of the experience/experiment/practical. Write a few lines to capture where are you now in your thinking, starting with the prompt "Now I think..." Next is to think about your next step in your learning journey in CP5070 by using the prompt "So next I will ........"
I used to think that ............... Now I think that .......... So next I will .........
- How can I apply this new skills/learning in CP5070 for other modules or my personal project/interest?
